This document is an electronic record in terms of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Rules made thereunder. This electronic record is generated by a computer system and does not require any physical or digital signatures.

Lightbooks Technologies Private Limited ("DeployU," "we," "us," or "our") operates a cloud learning platform accessible at deployu.ai (the "Platform"). Our registered office is located at Plot no.1-63-3/16, Kavuri Hills, Ext Road no.36, Kakateeya Hills Rd 9, Kakatiya Hills, Hyderabad, Telangana 500081, India.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and our Security Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

1. Definitions

"Account" means your registered user account on the Platform.

"Cloud Lab" or "Lab Environment" means the isolated cloud computing sandbox environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP) provisioned by DeployU for hands-on learning exercises.

"Course" means any educational content, tutorials, guides, or learning materials available on the Platform.

"Lab Credentials" means the temporary access credentials (such as AWS access keys, console passwords, or similar) provided to you for accessing Cloud Lab environments.

"Services" means all services provided by DeployU, including but not limited to Course content, Cloud Lab environments, progress tracking, certificates, and any other features available on the Platform.

"Subscription" means the paid or free plan that grants you access to specific Services on the Platform.

"User" or "you" means any individual who accesses or uses the Platform.

2. Platform Overview

DeployU is a cloud learning platform that provides:

Structured courses on cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related technologies
Hands-on Cloud Lab environments with real cloud resources
Step-by-step guided labs with automated validation
Progress tracking and completion certificates
Flat-fee subscription access without surprise cloud bills

Our Cloud Labs are isolated sandbox environments powered by AWS Organizations with Service Control Policies (SCPs) that enforce resource limits, regional restrictions, and budget caps. Lab credentials are temporary and expire after each session.

3. Account Registration

To access the Services, you must create an Account by providing accurate, complete, and current information. You agree to:

Provide truthful registration information
Maintain and promptly update your Account information
Keep your password confidential and secure
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your Account
Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your Account

You may not create an Account for anyone other than yourself, use another person's Account, or transfer your Account to another person. DeployU reserves the right to suspend or terminate Accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

5. Subscription Plans and Payment

5.1 Subscription Plans

DeployU offers various subscription plans, including:

Starter Plan: Limited access to Courses and Cloud Labs
Pro Plan: Full access to all Courses and Cloud Labs with extended lab time
Enterprise Plans: Custom plans for organizations with additional features

Subscription details, pricing, and features are displayed on our Pricing page and may be updated from time to time.

5.2 Payment

Payments are processed securely through Stripe and Razorpay, both PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processors. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable subscription fees. All fees are stated in the currency indicated at checkout and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

5.3 Billing Cycle

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis depending on your selected plan. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

5.4 Refund Policy

Due to the nature of our Services (access to Cloud Lab resources and digital content), all subscription fees are non-refundable once the subscription period begins. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and you will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.

5.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing. Any price changes will be communicated to you at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

6. Cloud Lab Usage Rules

When using Cloud Lab environments, you agree to:

6.1 Permitted Use

Use Cloud Labs solely for educational purposes as intended by the Courses
Follow lab instructions and stay within defined resource limits
Complete labs within the allocated time (typically 2 hours per session)
Use only the cloud services specified in the lab instructions

6.2 Prohibited Use

You must NOT use Cloud Lab environments to:

Mine cryptocurrency or run resource-intensive workloads unrelated to the Course
Store, process, or transmit personal data, production data, or sensitive information
Host websites, applications, or services for personal or commercial use
Attempt to bypass resource limits, SCPs, or security controls
Access or attempt to access other users' lab environments
Launch attacks, scans, or malicious activities against any systems
Store or distribute illegal, harmful, or offensive content
Share Lab Credentials with third parties
Use automated tools or scripts to access labs without authorization

6.3 Resource Cleanup

Cloud Lab resources are automatically cleaned up after each session. You should not store any data in Cloud Labs that you wish to retain. DeployU is not responsible for any data loss in Cloud Lab environments.

6.4 Monitoring

Cloud Lab activities are monitored in real-time for security and compliance purposes. Violation of usage rules may result in immediate termination of your lab session and/or Account.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 DeployU Content

All content on the Platform, including but not limited to Courses, lab instructions, code samples, videos, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is owned by or licensed to DeployU and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or exploit any Platform content without our prior written consent.

7.2 Limited License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform and Services for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes. This license does not include the right to:

Resell or commercially exploit the Services
Copy, reproduce, or distribute Course content
Record, screenshot, or capture video/audio from Courses
Share your Account access with others

7.3 User Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Platform or Services may be used by DeployU without any obligation to compensate you. You grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use such feedback for any purpose.

8. Certificates

Upon successful completion of Courses with passing grades in all assessments, you may receive a certificate of completion. Certificates are issued based on your demonstrated completion of Course requirements and lab exercises. DeployU certificates:

Represent completion of DeployU Courses only
Are not official cloud provider certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
May include a verification link and unique certificate ID
May be revoked if we determine that completion requirements were not legitimately met

9. Account Termination

9.1 Termination by You

You may cancel your subscription and/or delete your Account at any time through your Account settings. Upon cancellation:

You will retain access to Services until the end of your current billing period
No refunds will be provided for unused time
Your Course progress and certificates will be retained for 180 days
After 180 days of Account deletion, all data will be permanently removed

9.2 Termination by DeployU

We may suspend or terminate your Account immediately, without prior notice, if you:

Violate these Terms or any applicable laws
Abuse Cloud Lab resources or attempt to circumvent security controls
Engage in fraudulent activity or misrepresent your identity
Fail to pay applicable fees
Use the Platform in a manner that could harm DeployU or other users

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DEPLOYU DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
NON-INFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF CONTENT
UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION OF THE PLATFORM
SECURITY OR VIRUS-FREE NATURE OF THE PLATFORM

We do not guarantee that our Courses will prepare you to pass any third-party certification exams. Learning outcomes depend on individual effort and engagement.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DEPLOYU AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL
DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM
DAMAGES RESULTING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT
DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY CONTENT OR CONDUCT OF THIRD PARTIES

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO DEPLOYU IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DeployU and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

Your use of the Platform or Services
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
Any content you submit or transmit through the Platform

13. Third-Party Services

The Platform may integrate with or link to third-party services, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and payment processors. These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. DeployU is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

14. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Modifications to Services

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We may perform maintenance, updates, or upgrades that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of Services.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

17. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at support@deployu.ai. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may proceed with binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration shall be conducted in English in Hyderabad, Telangana.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Security Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DeployU regarding your use of the Platform and Services. These Terms supersede any prior agreements or communications.

20. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of DeployU.

21. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. DeployU may assign these Terms without restriction.

22. Force Majeure

DeployU shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of war, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, or failures of third-party services (including cloud providers).

23. Communications

By creating an Account, you consent to receive communications from DeployU via email, including:

Account-related notifications (registration, password resets, security alerts)
Service updates and announcements
Course progress updates and certificate notifications
Marketing communications (which you may opt out of)
