Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all subscription plans and purchases made on the DeployU platform operated by Lightbooks Technologies Private Limited ("DeployU," "we," "us," or "our"). Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.


1. Digital Nature of Services


DeployU provides digital educational services including:

  • Access to cloud computing courses and learning materials
  • Hands-on Cloud Lab environments with real AWS, Azure, and GCP infrastructure
  • Progress tracking and completion certificates
  • Interview preparation resources


Due to the immediate access provided upon subscription activation and the costs incurred for provisioning cloud resources, our refund policy is structured as follows.


2. Refund Eligibility


2.1 Full Refund (Within 7 Days)

You are eligible for a full refund if:

  • You request a refund within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase
  • You have not started more than 2 Cloud Lab sessions
  • You have not completed more than 20% of any course
  • This is your first subscription with DeployU (not applicable to renewals)


2.2 No Refund

Refunds are not available in the following cases:

  • Request made after 7 days from purchase
  • More than 2 Cloud Lab sessions have been started
  • More than 20% of any course has been completed
  • Subscription renewals (monthly or annual renewals)
  • Account suspended or terminated due to Terms of Service violations
  • Promotional or discounted purchases (unless otherwise stated)


2.3 Pro-Rated Refunds

We do not offer pro-rated refunds for:

  • Partial months of unused subscription
  • Early cancellation of annual plans
  • Downgrading from a higher-tier plan


3. How to Request a Refund


To request a refund:

  1. Email us at support@deployu.ai with subject line: "Refund Request"
  2. Include your registered email address and order/transaction ID
  3. Briefly explain your reason for requesting a refund


We will review your request and respond within 3 business days.


4. Refund Processing


If your refund is approved:

  • Processing Time: Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
  • Payment Method: Refunds are credited to the original payment method
  • Bank Processing: Additional 5-10 business days may be required by your bank
  • Currency: Refunds are issued in the original payment currency


5. Subscription Cancellation


Cancellation is different from a refund:

  • You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Account settings
  • Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period
  • No refund is provided for the remaining time in your billing period
  • Your subscription will not auto-renew after cancellation


6. Free Trial


If you are on a free trial:

  • No payment is required during the trial period
  • You can cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges
  • If you don't cancel, your subscription will automatically start and you will be charged


7. Special Circumstances


We may consider refunds outside our standard policy for:

  • Technical Issues: If you experienced significant platform issues that prevented you from using the Services (with documented evidence)
  • Duplicate Charges: If you were accidentally charged twice for the same subscription
  • Unauthorized Transactions: If your payment method was used without authorization (subject to verification)


These cases are reviewed individually, and refund approval is at DeployU's discretion.


8. Enterprise and Team Plans


For Enterprise or Team subscriptions:

  • Refund terms are governed by your specific contract
  • Contact your account manager or enterprise@deployu.ai for refund requests


9. Promotional Offers


Purchases made with promotional codes, discounts, or special offers:

  • May have different or no refund eligibility
  • Specific terms will be stated at the time of purchase
  • Free or heavily discounted subscriptions are generally non-refundable


10. Changes to This Policy


We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction.


11. Consumer Rights


This policy is in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 of India. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law.
