Getting Started

1 Who can become a DeployU partner?
Our program is designed for educators, trainers, content creators, and community leaders who have an audience interested in cloud computing, DevOps, or software engineering. This includes college professors, corporate trainers, YouTubers, bloggers, Discord/Slack community moderators, and bootcamp instructors.
2 How do I apply to become a partner?
Click the "Apply Now" button on this page or visit /partner/apply. You'll fill out a short application form with your background, audience information, and promotion strategy. Applications are typically reviewed within 2-3 business days.
3 What information do I need to provide in my application?
You'll need to provide: your role (educator, trainer, creator, etc.), organization name (if applicable), LinkedIn profile, estimated audience size, how you plan to promote DeployU, your preferred payout method (UPI or bank transfer), and PAN details for tax purposes.
4 Can I be a student on DeployU and a partner at the same time?
Absolutely! Many of our partners are also learners. Being a partner is an additional capability — it doesn't change your student account in any way. You can continue learning courses, running labs, and earning certificates while also earning partner commissions.
5 Is there a fee to join the partner program?
No, the DeployU Partner Program is completely free to join. There are no signup fees, monthly fees, or hidden costs. You simply apply, get approved, and start earning.

Commissions & Earnings

1 How much commission do I earn?
You earn 20% commission on every referred subscription. For example, if someone subscribes to our Professional yearly plan (₹24,000), you earn ₹4,800. There's no cap on earnings — the more referrals, the more you earn.
2 Do I earn commission on renewals?
Currently, commission is calculated on the first subscription payment only. Recurring renewals and subscription upgrades are not included in commission calculations. We may revisit this policy in the future.
3 What happens if a referred user requests a refund?
If a referred user receives a full refund within the refund window (typically 7 days), the associated commission will be marked as "refunded" and will not be included in your payout. Partial refunds may result in adjusted commissions.
4 Is there a minimum payout threshold?
No, there's no minimum threshold. Even if you have just ₹100 in approved commissions, it will be included in your monthly payout. We want you to receive your earnings as quickly as possible.
5 Can I see my earnings in real-time?
Yes! Your Partner Dashboard shows real-time tracking of clicks, signups, conversions, and earnings. You can see pending commissions (waiting for approval) and approved commissions (ready for payout) at any time.

Referral Tracking

1 How does referral tracking work?
When someone clicks your referral link, a cookie is stored in their browser for 60 days. If they sign up and subscribe within those 60 days, you automatically get credit for the referral. No manual tracking required.
2 What is the cookie duration?
We use a 60-day cookie. This means if someone clicks your link on January 1st, they have until March 2nd to subscribe for you to receive credit. This gives your referrals plenty of time to make their decision.
3 What if a user clicks multiple partner links?
We use last-click attribution. If a user clicks Partner A's link, then later clicks Partner B's link and subscribes, Partner B gets the commission. This encourages ongoing promotion and ensures the most recent partner gets credit.
4 Can I track referrals across different devices?
Cookies are device-specific, so if a user clicks your link on their phone but subscribes on their laptop, the referral may not be tracked. We recommend encouraging users to complete signup on the same device they clicked the link on.
5 My referral link format — can I customize it?
Your referral code is generated based on your role and name (e.g., PROF-SURYA, EDU-JOHN). You can append this code to any DeployU URL using the ?ref= parameter. For example: deployu.com/courses/aws?ref=YOUR-CODE

Payouts

1 When do I get paid?
Payouts are processed on the 1st of every month for the previous month's approved commissions. For example, commissions approved in January are paid out on February 1st.
2 What payment methods are available?
We currently support two payment methods for Indian partners: UPI (instant transfer to your UPI ID) and Bank Transfer (NEFT/IMPS to your bank account). International payment methods will be added in the future.
3 How long does it take to receive my payout?
UPI payouts are typically instant. Bank transfers usually arrive within 1-3 business days after processing. You'll receive an email notification when your payout is processed.
4 Why is my commission showing as "pending"?
New commissions go through a brief review period to ensure the subscription is valid and no refund has been requested. This typically takes 7-14 days after the subscription. Once approved, the commission moves to "approved" status and will be included in the next payout cycle.
5 Do I need to provide tax information?
Yes, we require your PAN number for tax compliance. Partner earnings are treated as income and may be subject to TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) as per Indian tax regulations. We'll provide you with necessary documentation for filing your taxes.

Promotion & Best Practices

1 What are the best ways to promote DeployU?
The most effective methods depend on your audience: Educators can include links in course syllabi and lecture materials. Content creators can add links to video descriptions and blog posts. Community leaders can pin links in discussion channels. In all cases, authentic recommendations work better than aggressive marketing.
2 Do you provide marketing materials?
Yes! Once approved, you'll have access to the Partner Resources section with banners, badges, talking points, and sample content you can use in your promotions. We'll also provide tips specific to your partner type.
3 Are there any promotion restrictions?
Yes, we have a few guidelines: No spamming or unsolicited bulk messaging. No false claims about DeployU features or pricing. No paid advertising on brand terms (like "DeployU"). No impersonating DeployU staff. Full terms are available in our Partner Terms of Service.
4 Can I create my own promotional content?
Absolutely! We encourage authentic content. You can create tutorials, reviews, comparison posts, and more. Just ensure your content is accurate and clearly discloses your partner relationship as required by advertising guidelines.
5 How can I maximize my earnings?
Focus on your niche audience — people genuinely interested in cloud skills convert better than random traffic. Share your link at relevant moments (e.g., after discussing cloud topics). Use the resources we provide. Track your analytics to see what works. Quality over quantity always wins.

Account & Support

1 How do I access my Partner Dashboard?
Once approved, you can access your dashboard at /partner/dashboard. You'll be able to see your referral link, track clicks and conversions, view earnings, and access marketing resources. The dashboard is available 24/7.
2 Can I update my payout details?
Yes, you can update your UPI ID or bank details in the Partner Settings section of your dashboard. Changes take effect for the next payout cycle. For security, significant changes may require verification.
3 What if my application is rejected?
If your application is not approved, you'll receive an email explaining why. Common reasons include incomplete applications or audiences that don't align with our target market. You're welcome to reapply after addressing the feedback.
4 Who do I contact for partner support?
For partner-specific questions, you can reach our partner support team at partners@deployu.in. We typically respond within 24-48 hours on business days.
5 Can my partner account be suspended?
Partner accounts may be suspended for violations of our Partner Terms, including fraud, spamming, or misrepresentation. If suspended, you'll receive notification with details. Pending payouts may be held during investigation.
